Mariwanda is my home town and near the Serengeti National Park. My family lives in a local house. Their tribe name is Mwikizu, they live from farming. In earlier days they had much cows like two hundred. But because of the El Niño the cattle is reduced to only twenty cows, some goats and chickens. The village is difficult to reach with public transport. Once a day you can take a dalla dalla or else there is the possibility to get there with a bike. These bikes leave from Bunda and the trip will take like four hours. The environment is quit and beautiful. It gives also big opportunities to walk around and enjoy the nature. Our house is located near the mountain Chamiruho. The mountain can be climbed in one day and gives a great view over the village and the Serengeti Park. The village people are not used to tourist and thereby you feel very welcome.
